劉氏畢業於香港教育大學創意藝術與文化榮譽文學士（一級榮譽）及音樂教育榮譽學士（一級榮譽），主修鋼琴，並於2018年起連續三年成為創意藝術與文化學系優藝生。劉氏曾榮獲獎學金，包括香港特別行政區政府獎學金、香港特別行政區政府獎學金—才藝發展獎學金、香港潮州商會獎學金和柏斯育才獎學金。此外，他也曾獲頒由香港教育大學創意藝術與文化學系所設立的優秀藝術獎獎學金（演奏）、優秀藝術獎獎學金（作曲）、繆思室樂獎獎學金等。

劉氏已考獲聖三一音樂學院鋼琴演奏文憑（LTCL）及聖三一音樂學院音樂理論專業文憑（LMusTCL），師隨王秀婷女士和李明哲女士，也先後跟隨名鋼琴家李嘉齡小姐、李偉安先生、王志仁先生、李璟輿博士等鑽研鋼琴演奏。

劉氏曾擔任虎豹樂圃室樂團和香港青少年管弦樂團的協作鋼琴家，也曾成為香港教育大學合唱團和室樂合唱團伴奏，現擔任元朗文協童聲合唱團導師及伴奏。

Mr. Lau graduated with a Bachelor of Arts (First Class Honours) in Creative Arts and Culture and a Bachelor of Education (First Class Honours) in Music Education from The Education University of Hong Kong, specializing in piano. From 2018, he was consecutively named a Distinguished Arts Scholar by the Department of Creative Arts and Culture for three years. His academic excellence has been recognized with multiple scholarships, including the Hong Kong Special Administrative Region Government Scholarship, the Hong Kong SAR Government Talent Development Scholarship, the Chiu Chow Chamber of Commerce Scholarship, and the Parsons Music Scholarship. Additionally, he has received prestigious performance and composition awards from his alma mater, such as the Outstanding Arts Award (Performance), Outstanding Arts Award (Composition), and the Muse Chamber Music Scholarship.  

Mr. Lau holds the Licentiate of Trinity College London (LTCL) in Piano Performance and the Licentiate in Music Theory (LMusTCL) from Trinity College London. He trained under Ms. Wang Xiuting and Ms. Li Mingzhe, and has further refined his artistry under renowned pianists including Ms. Colleen Lee, Mr. Li Weian, Mr. Wong Chi-yan, and Dr. Li Jingyu.  

An experienced collaborative pianist, Mr. Lau has performed with the Haw Par Music Young Musicians’ Orchestra and the Hong Kong Youth Orchestra. He has also served as an accompanist for the EdUHK Choir and Chamber Vocal Ensemble. Currently, he is the instructor and accompanist for the Yuen Long Cultural Association Children’s Choir.
